In the spring of 2005, following court rulings that removed the Ten Commandments from public places and other disturbing trends which some believed were moving the United States away from moral absolutes, a concerned group of people formed The Ten Commandments Commission. They declared the first Sunday in May to be Ten Commandments Day and encouraged pastors all over the country to preach on that day about the Ten Commandments.

When Danny Shelton, then president of Three Angels Broadcasting Network (3ABN), heard about this, he began organizing what was to become the first of four annual Ten Commandments Weekends, broadcast live on 3ABN’s English and Spanish television networks, 3ABN and 3ABN Latino. Featuring powerful sermons on each of the Commandments, these programs have moved people around the world to deepen their understanding and commitment to live according to God’s eternal Law.
