Overview of Past Weekends
2006 – Washington, D.C.
3ABN’s first Ten Commandments Weekend was broadcast around the world from the National Guard Armory in Washington, D.C., May 5-7. It was 3ABN’s largest production ever, and coincided with the massive distribution of 5 million of copies of The Ten Commandments Twice Removed, written by Danny Shelton and Shelley Quinn.
The event featured 17 hours of live broadcasts from five sites around the United States and Puerto Rico. Eager supporters came from all over the United States, and from as far away as the Middle East and the Caribbean.
2007 – Chicago, Illinois & Montemorelos, Mexico
3ABN’s second Ten Commandments Weekend was broadcast around the world from the Arie Crown Theater at McCormick Place, in downtown Chicago on May 5 and 6. Once again, our guest speakers preached about each of God’s Ten Commandments, and well over another million copies of The Ten Commandments Twice Removed were distributed around the world.
3ABN Latino also broadcast programs throughout the world from Montemorelos, Mexico, hosted by 3ABN Latino Network manager, John Dinzey.
Another great event came of this year’s Ten Commandments Weekend in the form of a large evangelistic campaign with Pastor C.A. Murray. Eager audiences came to participate in a series called, His Harvest Is Ready, which aired live from the Central Hispanic Seventh-day Adventist Church from October 5 through 20.
2008 – 3ABN Worship Center & Dominican Republic
The third annual Ten Commandments Weekend was broadcast worldwide from 3ABN’s Worship Center in Thompsonville, Illinois, and featured incredible messages from some of today’s best-known Christian speakers. In addition, the 3ABN Latino Network broadcast live from the Dominican Republic to a huge Spanish-speaking audience around the world.
As in years past, the numbers of people who come to the Lord by watching the Ten Commandments Weekend reminds us of the words of Jesus in John 12:32 "If I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."
2009 – 3ABN Worship Center & Cali, Colombia: “Ancient Words—Ever True”
The theme for 3ABN’s fourth annual Ten Commandments Weekend was “Ancient Words—Ever True,” reflecting the everlasting character of God’s immutable Law. Since its inception, 3ABN has presented His eternal Law as the blueprint for living a victorious Christian life. Once again the English television version was broadcast from 3ABN’s Worship Center as part of their Spring Camp Meeting, while the 3ABN Latino Network broadcast from Cali, Colombia, to a huge stadium audience. Reports from Colombia said that supporters traveled as much as 14 hours to take part in this important event. Each speaker brought into focus the beauty, power, and grace of those ancient words given to Abraham’s descendants so many years ago.
